I Voted Sticker Design Series

Madison Center for Civic Engagement

OBJECTIVE

Design engaging and visually appealing “I Voted” stickers for JMU students that encourage civic participation and celebrate voter engagement to win the Madison Center for Civic Engagement’s annual “I Voted” sticker competition.

I developed the winning designs for 2022, 2023, and 2024.

BIG IDEA

Create an “I Voted” sticker that captures the pride of participating in democracy by having visuals that students want to receive, proudly wear, and post online.

CREATIVE RATIONALE

My creative approach focused on crafting designs that felt celebratory, inclusive, and easily shareable, aligning with the center’s mission to promote civic participation. After refining the final artwork through digital mock-ups, I also directed and captured a photoshoot featuring the JMU President and members of the Student Government Association to showcase the stickers in use. The final deliverables included the sticker designs, campaign imagery, and photographs used for both promotional and on-campus engagement. This was an individual project.
